Documents in this section demonstrate that I am able to engage effectively in problem analysis, criterion-reference measurement, and formative and summative evaluation.

Measurement; Market SurveyMy goal for the Market Survey was to compare twenty-one websites, all homepages for elementary schools in the Cupertino Union School District, to see how they met up with general web design and accessibility standards. My conclusions found that most of the schools rated far below what was measured as an "A" grade in this study. This document demonstrates my findings in this survey. |

Curricula Comparison; SOAP ProblemAs an assigned project in my research coursework, the purpose of this artifact was to report on a comparison of two Social Studies curricula: the new Social Organization and Policy (SOAP) curriculum and the traditional Low Option Social Studies (LOSS) program. This document shows the statistical analysis behind the study and lays out a strong report on the presented purpose. |

Evaluation; National Board EntryI certified as a National Board teacher in the winter of 2006. As part of my final portfolio for this process, I needed to do a summative reflection on a lesson taught to my students, and compare two contrasting students and the results this lesson had on them. This document is formated to comply with the National Board for Teaching Standards requirements and covers the National Standards for the Teaching Profession in its design. This document shows both that I am competent at quality evaluation and also that I can connect my teaching with given standards and teaching requirements. |
